Per the Sports ETA Bylaws, Article XIII – Meeting of Members, Section F “Each Member in good standing in the Destination, Industry Partner and Rights Holder Membership category shall have one vote, which may be cast only by the Member, without the right of proxy”.

Sports ETA, SearchWide Global, and Northstar Meetings Group Present New Executive Compensation Report for the Sports Events and Tourism Industry
CINCINNATI (March 15, 2023) – Sports ETA and SearchWide Global released the “2023 Sports Destination Leaders Salary, Compensation and Benefits Report” led by researchers from Stoll Strategies, sponsored by the Northstar Meetings Group.
The benchmark study provides an overall look at the employment landscape for the $39.7 billion sports events and tourism industry among sports destinations while offering a resource to organizations with actionable information.

Each year, Sports ETA honors organizations and individuals in the sports events and tourism industry to celebrate their accomplishments and achievements. After a deep dive into the past awards program, a small committee of Sports ETA members has revamped our program to not only streamline the submission process but include award categories that are relevant to all association members and the programs members want and should be recognized for.
Now, easier and more streamlined than ever, we invite you to submit a nomination for Member Awards. The portal will remain open until March 31, 2023.

As of 2021, sports events and tourism comprised $39.7 billion in direct spending, $12.9 billion in tax revenue and a total economic impact of $91.8 billion in the U.S., according to Sports ETA data. This bounce back from the pandemic outpaced many other industry sectors, including pharmaceuticals, oil and gas extraction, and others.

Kidd joined Sports ETA in 2017 after a successful business career, which included serving as the CEO for the San Diego Sport Association for eight years.
