The Sports ETA Hall of Fame Committee was established in 2017 to honor those who have played a vital role in the success and promotion of the Sports Events and Tourism Association and have contributed significantly to the advancement of the sports events and tourism industry. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to promote the professional management of, longstanding service to, and major achievements in, the sports events and tourism industry by honoring those individuals who exemplify the highest values of Sports ETA in their careers and by recognizing the positive impact of their legacies on current and future generations of Sports ETA members.
Induction into the Sports ETA Hall of Fame is considered to be the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award. Honorees have typically spent decades in the sports events and tourism industry; they have been leaders in the industry; and they have an extensive list of accomplishments locally, nationally, and even internationally in some cases.
