Great American 5000 is a way for teams of up to 12 or 24 runners to join together and strengthen their community. Starting on Flag Day, June 14, 2020, runners will take off running 5,000 km (3,120 miles) virtually from the Pacific near San Francisco to the Atlantic near New York City. The Competition Teams will collectively run for 24 hours each day and send in how far they covered. An online map will track their virtual progress across the country. A leaderboard will show how they compare to other teams. First team to the Atlantic Ocean near New York wins! Sports ETA to move its Annual Symposium to 2021 CINCINNATI (June 4, 2020) – Sports ETA, the trade association for the sport events and tourism industry, announced today that it will postpone its 2020 in-person Annual Symposium to April 26-29, 2021 in Birmingham, Alabama. The largest annual gathering of sports events and tourism professionals was originally scheduled to be hosted in Kansas City for August 2-5, 2020. Kansas City will host a future Annual Symposium to be announced at a later date. He was known once as a hero in the small town of Beaver, Oklahoma after he and his cross country team won the Class 2A State Championship. Today, that memory holds a special place in Clay Partain’s heart as his love for sports bleeds into his job. Clay is the Director of Sports Market Sales at Visit Salt Lake. Check-in time - How has working from home really been going? Are you sticking to a routine? Or are you letting it slide a little bit? After a few months of working from home, it can be easy to slide into some bad habits, some you may not even notice. Thanks to a few HubSpot bloggers, you can identify a few of these bad habits and try to let them go. Holding yourself to the same high standard every day. Some days will be more productive than others. Don’t beat yourself on the days when being productive is a struggle. Take those days to recharge instead. Not physically separating work from home life enough. Where you work makes a difference. Working at the kitchen table may have your mind drifting off to what you are having for dinner. Or, if you work near a TV, it may have you thinking about your favorite show and enjoying it even though it's off. Giving yourself that separation could help you focus better. Professional Golf Returns to Florida’s Golf Capital®: The Palm Beaches

The PGA Tour announced that The Palm Beaches will serve as the host to the return of televised golf with TaylorMade Driving Relief, a $3 million charity skins match supported by UnitedHealth Group to raise money and awareness for the American Nurses Foundation and CDC Foundation, two organizations helping to lead COVID-19 relief efforts. Sports Backers announce ‘Great American 5000’ virtual race across America starting June 14

Feeding America to serve as event charity partner for 5,000-kilometer challenge Richmond, VA – Sports Backers, one of the nation’s leading nonprofit active-living advocacy organizations, is announcing their new ‘Great American 5000’ virtual race beginning on Flag Day, June 14. In the endurance challenge, participating teams compete with the aim of covering the 5,000-kilometer (3,100-mile) distance of a pre-selected course between the Pacific Ocean in San Francisco and Atlantic Ocean in New York.
