As the inaugural Sustainability Sponsor for the Sports ETA Symposium, the Eugene, Cascades & Coast Sports Commission is thrilled to extend a warm welcome to Oregon. In anticipation of your visit, they’d like to offer some useful tips to help make your time more enjoyable while also helping to preserve their great state.

Firstly, remember to pack your reusable water bottle and coffee cup. Refilling your bottle with the purest, freshest water or indulging in the renowned Northwest coffee is not only convenient but also contributes to reducing waste from plastic water bottles and single-use coffee cups.

As a token of their appreciation, you’re invited to visit their booth on the trade show floor, #219. Present your reusable bottle or coffee cup, and you'll be automatically entered into a drawing for an exciting prize pack. Additionally, they’ll have some stylish local stickers available to brighten up your bottle. Thank you for joining us and Eugene, Cascades & Coast Sports Commission in promoting sustainability at the Sports ETA Symposium!

To minimize your environmental footprint during the Symposium, consider utilizing public transportation. Navigating Portland is convenient, as it has been recognized as one of the top 5 walkable cities in the US by Conde Nast Traveler. Whether you enjoy leisurely strolls to explore the city's prominent attractions or prefer alternative modes of transportation, such as biking, taking the bus, or using the renowned light rail system known as the Max, there are various options available.

For added convenience, the Max even stops at the airport and can transport you to destinations within a brief walk of the Convention Center and Host Hotels. Embracing public transportation not only eases your travel but also contributes to a more sustainable and eco-friendly experience during your time at the Symposium.

ReRun 5K
Reduce - Reuse - Recycle

Join us on Wednesday, April 24th, from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM for the ReRun 5k run/walk to support sustainability.

This invigorating experience will be led by none other than Ben Blankenship, an esteemed American middle-distance runner, world record holder, former Olympian, and founder of the Endless Mileage Project and Recovered Running.

If not for the run, do it for the super cool shirt. That's right, for the first 25 runners who sign up, included in your registration is a commemorative prize.

Your participation in this 5K Run/Walk not only promises a refreshing start to your day but also contributes to a great cause. The funds raised will support the Sports Legacy Fund beneficiary, SHE FLIES, empowering women in sports.

Also, please bring your gently used running clothes, shoes, or gear to donate to Recovered Running. Donated gear will be provided to middle and high school athletes and schools in need.
