Event Owner Webinar: GCAC 2025 Women’s Softball Championship

Join us on Wednesday, February 21 at 2 PM ET as Don Staley shares what it will take to host the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference 2025 Women's Softball Championship. Register Now.

The GCAC would like to host this event in a southeastern city of the United States ideally from April 15-19 or 23-27, 2025 (potential dates).

The Host Requirements include:

  1. Complimentary rental of college regulation softball stadium/complex
  2. Hospitality Area for Staff and Officials
  3. Scoreboard Operator and Statistician
  4. Coordinate Athletic Trainers
  5. Host Press Conference prior to Championship
  6. EMS/Ambulance-add on site.
  7. Seven (7) Staff Hotel Rooms for Six (6) Nights
  8. Welcome reception for up to 250 guests.
  9. Bid Fee of $12,000 (negotiable) to the GCAC.
  10. Group booking rates for GCAC member institutions.
  11. Public Relations/Marketing- create excitement to get attendance at games.
  12. Create a Local Organizing Committee to mobilize community support for event.


In connection with the Championship Hosting, GCAC agrees to:

  1. Provide marketing collateral to advertise the event.
  2. The host shall be entitled to all gross revenues from ticket sales.
  3. The host shall have rights to sell the Presenting Sponsorships (2) for the championship and shall retain all revenues associated herewith.
  4. Host reserves the right to operate all food concessions in and around the venue and is entitled to all gross revenues.
  5. The host shall be entitled to retain local sponsorships generated by the host for championships.

The GCAC is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The conference is made up of members representing Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and is only one of five in the United States across all intercollegiate sports made up of HBCU institutions.
