Sports ETA to Partner on Two New U.S. Sports Congress Events

CINCINNATI (For Immediate Release) – Sports ETA, the trade association for the U.S. sports events and tourism industry, will serve as an organizing partner of the new U.S. Sports Congress Economic Development & Sports Tourism Summit (ED&STS) and the Collegiate Championship Symposium scheduled for December.

Both events will take place under the U.S. Sports Congress umbrella in Frisco, Texas. The ED&STS will be held December 6-7 and the Collegiate Championship Symposium will be December 6.

The ED&STS is designed for economic development professionals, Chambers of Commerce, park districts and government representatives. This unique programming will feature its own educational track, including opportunities to network with other like-minded professionals at U.S. Sports Congress receptions.

The Collegiate Championship Symposium is designed for academic institutions and athletic conferences. This one-day event will examine best practices for holding championships. The Symposium also will have its own track of professional development and networking opportunities.

“We look forward to working with the U.S. Sports Congress on these two educational opportunities to engage and educate the sports events and tourism industry,” said Al Kidd, President and CEO, Sports ETA.  “As sports events are returning to our calendars, we want to make sure our industry’s organizations are well prepared to welcome back events and their fans.”

“These new events will expand the conversation, educate strategic partners and ultimately strengthen our sports events and tourism industry,” said Lou Mengsol, President, U.S. Sports Congress. “Both audiences, economic development professionals and those working in collegiate athletics are very important to the success of our industry.”
