I graduated from the University of Connecticut where I was a varsity softball player and worked for the Athletic Marketing Department. I attended the University of Southern Mississippi as a Graduate Assistant in the Athletic Marketing Department before landing my first full time job at the University of Louisville. I spent 5 years in college athletics between UofL and Indiana University before becoming a Sales Director for a Holiday Inn Express in Martinsville, IN for a year and half. I moved to Jacksonville, NC in 2012 and ran the Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission for 4 years before relocating to my hometown of Durham to run the newly formed Durham Sports Commission in January of 2017. I have a husband named Aaron who is a Certified Athletic Trainer and works for Duke Health, and a daughter named Makayla.
