Rachel Rogers joined the Cobb Travel & Tourism team in October 2013. She currently serves as the Vice President of Sports Sales & Engagement at CT&T and the Cobb Sports Alliance. In her position, she is responsible for marketing Cobb County as a sports tourism destination and running the Cobb Sports Alliance.
After graduating, Rogers worked for the Atlanta Braves’ Minor League affiliate, the Rome Braves for six seasons. While there, she served as the Community Relations Manager/Executive Suite Director. She was instrumental in bringing the 2007 South Atlantic League All-Star game to State Mutual Stadium and the Greater Rome Community.
Prior to her current position, she served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Marketing and Athletic Development as well as the Senior Woman Administrator at Shorter University. During her tenure, she was a part of the leadership team that took the Department of Athletics from NAIA to NCAA DII, handled marketing & promotions, was an advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and was chairwoman of the Gender Equity & Diversity Inclusion Committee.
Rogers is dedicated to the growth of sports tourism. She has served on numerous committees that target sports tourism, including the Rome Championships Committee, Sports ETA Mentor Community, and Georgia Sports.
She is a native of Hiawassee, GA, and a two-time graduate of Shorter University. She is a 2016 Leadership Cobb Graduate, and a LiveSafe Resources 2024 Women of Achievement Honoree and she is loyal to Atlanta, cheering on all the hometown teams, especially the Atlanta Braves.
