Sports ETA is partnering with Network Volunteers to add a new component to the Women’s Summit in 2020.

Homelessness is a persistent issue in New Orleans and has been exacerbated by Hurricane Katrina and rising rental and home prices. Due to this increase in homelessness, many of the local homeless organizations and shelters struggle to provide basic services and resources to New Orleans homeless citizens.

These “living kits” consist of basic hygiene supplies including a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, deodorant, snack, water and drawstring bag to provide the necessary tools to help these individuals get back on their feet. Volunteers will prepare and fill these living kits which are then donated to local women’s homeless shelters throughout the city.

It’s free to volunteer, but please add this activity to your registration cart if you want to participate so that the appropriate number of living kits are ordered.
