Shannon Boxx, a true legend in the world of soccer, will join us as our Keynote Speaker, presented by
Visit San Jose. Her remarkable achievements and dedication to empowering others make her an inspiring choice for the Symposium. She is a tenacious midfielder who has never shied away from a challenge on the field or off. Shannon is a 3x Olympic Gold Medal Winner, World Cup Champion and was inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2022. Her rise to the National team is unique in that she made the 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup Team without ever previously earning a CAP (the only player in history to do so). In her 12 years on the National Team, Shannon started 177 of her 195 career matches.
She is a Co-founder and Community Impact Leader for a youth soccer academy that is committed to developing and preserving the game for young female athletes.
She is a founding investor in Angel City FC, the first female-owned soccer team in history, and is 1 of 4 PNW Regional Council Members for the Lupus Foundation of America and serves as an ambassador and spokesperson for the organization.
