As the Senior VP of USL League One, Short leads the daily operations and growth of the country’s only professional Third Division. Under Short’s leadership, League One launched and began its inaugural season in the span of two calendar years. Short developed and implemented the comprehensive launch strategy and is now responsible for leading the league’s day-to-day business operations, expansion efforts, and U.S. Soccer Federation sanctioning. With nearly two decades of experience working in sports, Short has built a track record of business development, project management and team leadership. Short graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Master of Science in Sport Management. Most recently, Short earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida – Hough Graduate School of Business.
