Liona Dean

Liona Dean has been working towards the mission of ending abuse with the U.S. Center for SafeSport for over 3 years. Her educational background is in Psychology and Communications. Liona currently holds over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector. She specializes in advocating for at-risk populations (mental health awareness, victims of abuse, special needs, struggling youth, experiencing homelessness, veterans, and LGBTQ). Liona works to develop programs/solutions for communities to thrive and feel heard. She believes in creating safe and educational environments for growth and possible opportunities. This is possible by being able to create a support system that individuals can confide in and trust. Liona enjoys working in a team and her style is honest, communicative, quality-driven, and compassionate. Her experience comes from leading projects & programs for the US Center for SafeSport, Boy and Girls Club, American Red Cross, Our House, and HOPE Atlanta Travelers Aid. In each of her roles, she has provided technical solutions, education, outreach to the community, and connections for individuals to succeed. Today, Liona Dean is the Director of Customer Success at the U.S. Center for SafeSport. She works directly with organizations outside of the Olympic/Paralympic community providing guidance on guidelines & resources, support on the Center’s learning platform, creating relationships with partners, and coordinating with National Governing Bodies.
