Dave Borchardt

Dave Borchardt is the Vice President of Corporate & Community Relations for the Kansas City Sports Commission. Reporting to Kathy Nelson, Dave is responsible for all the Sports Commission’s fundraising efforts, including partnership sales for the organization’s 15 annual programs & events, which include the Garmin Kansas City Marathon, Camp WIN presented by Royals Charities and the Kansas City Sports Awards presented by Populous. In addition, Dave led the Sports Commission’s fundraising efforts around the 2023 NFL Draft in Kansas City. Dave is a lifelong Kansas Citian and a 2000 graduate of the University of Missouri. Prior to joining the Sports Commission, Dave worked at Sports Radio 810 WHB (2000 – 2008), Sporting Kansas City (2008 – 2011) and Time Warner Cable (2011-2016). Dave still does broadcasting work in his free time, and he is currently the TV & Radio voice of the Kansas City Current NWSL team.
