Russ Yurk
Russ Yurk is president of 129 Sports, an Indianapolis-based sports consulting firm founded in 2015. A 29-year veteran of sport event and project management, highlights of Russ’ career include working on the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta and the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. More recently, after spending eight years at the NCAA managing championships in all three divisions, Russ worked on the 2017 World Rowing Championships and 2021 WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup. Currently, Russ has led the day-to-day operations of the NCAA bid cycle since 2019. Russ is also commissioner of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, an NCAA Division I/II conference based in the eastern U.S. Russ received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Flint and his MBA from Robert Morris University.
