Ray Walls

Ray Walls initially joined Texas Christian University Athletics in June of 2010 working in the Athletic Academics Services area where he oversaw advising for TCU football student-athletes until his departure in 2018. He returned to TCU in November of 2021 as the Associate Athletics Director for Student Athlete Experience and Brand Management. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading all aspects of personal and professional development, as well as community engagement activities for student athletes in all 21 varsity sports. In addition, he is the primary contact for Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) is primarily focused on providing leadership on NIL education, brand management, and strategic partnerships for Texas Christian University Athletics. Ray also chairs the athletics department Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council which is ultimately responsible for creating an inclusive athletics culture. The council actively promotes DEI efforts through education and training for all staff and student-athletes. Prior to his second stint at TCU, Ray served as the Senior Associate Athletic Director at the University of North Texas. In this role he was responsible for the overall direction of the Student-Athlete Academic Center which encompassed student-athlete academic support and student-athlete development initiatives.
