Developing A Strong Partnership with Your Parks

Join the Outdoor Recreation, Parks & Spaces Community as they deep dive into the Kansas City Triathlon. Josh Zabel, Director of Events with KC Sports Commission will be joined by Tina Spallo, Superintendent of Recreation, to discuss the partnership between the sports commission and Johnson County Parks & Rec, and the challenges and successes of hosting a large sports event in a public park. Second half of the session will pivot to round table discussions with community leaders on how to build a successful partnership with your parks and open spaces.
