Gen Howard

Gen Howard is a native of Louisville, KY and has over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry. She is currently the Senior Sports Manager for Louisville Tourism and has been selling Louisville as a premier sports destination for nine years. Over the past nine years, Howard has helped position Louisville into a premier sports destination and has also grown the sports tourism segment into the largest economic driver for the city. Howard attended Western Kentucky University and received a Bachelor of Arts in Corporate Communications and Minor in Marketing and Dance. Howard was named Connect’s 2013 40 under 40 and a 2016 Industry Leader. She currently serves on the board of New Roots, a local non-profit and is also active in the National Association of Sports Commissions serving on multiple committees. In her spare time, Howard enjoys running, biking, gardening, and cheering her boys on in sports.
