Communicating Value to Board and Other Leadership
How to translate marketing outcomes into language that resonates with decision-makers

Marketing teams track countless metrics—but not every metric matters to your board, executive leadership, or key stakeholders. In this interactive MarCom Community discussion, we'll explore how organizations are communicating the value of their marketing efforts in ways that support strategic goals, demonstrate ROI, and build confidence with decision-makers.

Participants will share what they're measuring, how they're reporting results, and which metrics resonate most with boards, sponsors, government partners, and other stakeholders. We'll also discuss reporting formats, presentation frequency, common challenges, and what's working well across the industry.

Whether you're refining an executive dashboard or looking for new ways to tell your organization's story through data, you'll leave with practical ideas and peer insights you can apply to your own reporting process.

Key discussion topics:

  • Organizational vs. marketing KPIs: What are you measuring and why?
  • Communicating value to boards, executive leadership, sponsors, and other stakeholders
  • Reporting frequency, dashboards, and presentation formats
  • Common reporting challenges and opportunities for improvement
  • Best practices and takeaways from peers across the sports events and tourism industry
