Opening Keynote Session

We hope you are as excited as we are as we kick-off our virtual Women's Summit and follow it with well-rounded education sessions!

Our Opening Keynote, Sasha Spencer-Atwood, Athletes & Teams Experience Director at Oregon21, LLC  will inspire attendees by sharing her personal story on how she went from a collegiate athlete to a professional athlete, and where she is now on the business side of sports. She will discuss what it took and how she’s adapted her professional development throughout the years.

Sasha Spencer Atwood is the Athlete and Team Experience Director for the World Athletics Championships Oregon21. She is responsible for designing and planning the engagement with this important constituency across all functional areas and touch points. Additionally, Sasha oversees planning for the Oregon21 marathons, and stakeholder relations. She brings with knowledge, experience and relationships developed while serving as the Director of External Affairs for TrackTown USA, Inc. from 2011-2020. During her time in TrackTown she was instrumental in the delivery of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials - Track & Field, the 2014 IAAF World Junior Championships, the 2016 IAAF World Indoor Championships and multiple national championships including the USATF Indoor and Outdoor Championships, and the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Prior to hosting world class track and field meets, Sasha was competing in them as an 800m specialist for Nike for 8 years.

A native Oregonian, Sasha attended North Salem High School before earning a degree from Georgetown University where she was a 9-time NCAA All-American in track and field and inducted as a member of Georgetown’s 2020 Hall of Fame class.
