At Sports ETA, we are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all attendees at our conferences and events. Your well-being is our priority, and we have established the following Safety & Support Plan to ensure that any concerns related to safety, unprofessional behavior, or misconduct are addressed swiftly and effectively.

1. If You Feel Unsafe or Need Assistance

If you ever feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or witness any inappropriate behavior, we encourage you to take the following steps:

Immediate Assistance:

  • Locate Conference Staff: Our team members will be clearly identified with name badges and are on-site at all Summit functions.
  • Call or Text the Safety Hotline: 602-549-9479

In Case of an Emergency:

  • Dial 911 if you are in immediate danger.
  • Alert Venue Security: Venue security personnel will be on-site and available to assist with any concerns.

2. Reporting Unprofessional Behavior or Misconduct

Sports ETA maintains a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, discrimination, or unprofessional conduct of any kind. This includes, but is not limited to, inappropriate comments, unwanted advances, bullying, or any behavior that disrupts the conference environment.

If you experience or witness misconduct, please report it as soon as possible using one of the following methods:

  • Speak with a Designated Safe Contact: A confidential, trained staff member will be available to address concerns.
  • Email the Sports ETA Team: info@sportseta.org

All reports will be handled discreetly and professionally, with appropriate action taken as necessary.

3. Our Commitment to a Safe and Inclusive Conference
  • Confidentiality: Reports of misconduct will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and we will respect the wishes of those reporting an issue while taking appropriate action.
  • Actionable Steps: If an attendee is found to be in violation of our Code of Conduct, they may be subject to removal from the conference without refund and potential restrictions from future events.
  • Support Resources: We can provide information on local resources, including law enforcement, counseling services, and legal support if needed.

4. Code of Conduct Reminder

All attendees are expected to:

✔️ Treat others with respect and professionalism.

✔️ Engage in constructive and inclusive discussions.

✔️ Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior.

✔️ Report concerns to conference staff immediately.

Violations of this Code of Conduct will be taken seriously and addressed accordingly.

5. Additional Safety Tips

  • Travel with a companion or let a colleague know your whereabouts if you are leaving the event area.
  • Utilize hotel and venue security services when needed.
