Ray Hoyt is a visionary leader in sports, tourism, and community development, known for driving economic impact through strategic partnerships and innovative funding models. With over 30 years of experience, he has transformed organizations such as Disney Sports Attractions, National Senior Games, USA BMX, and Tulsa Regional Tourism. His ability to balance creativity with fiscal accountability has made him a sought-after leader in the industry. As the Executive Director of the USA BMX Foundation, Ray led a major reorganization, expanding youth STEM programming, Olympic athlete engagement, and community outreach. He played a crucial role in rewriting the foundation's educational curriculum to align with national STEAM NGSS and Common Core standards. His leadership also resulted in the launch of a groundbreaking medical program in collaboration with Oklahoma State University College of Medicine, focusing on track and training programs, mental health, and the long-term well-being of elite athletes. Under his guidance, the foundation's summer camp program grew exponentially, serving over 6,000 children annually. Additionally, he launched a national fundraising initiative that increased net funds raised by 400% within two years. Previously, Ray served as President of Tulsa Regional Tourism, where he led the organization’s growth from a $1.8 million to a $9 million enterprise over seven years. Through strategic leadership, private investment campaigns, legislative initiatives, and industry collaboration, he helped generate over $300 million in annual economic impact. His work in tourism development included policy and legislative advocacy, securing public-private partnerships, and successfully managing city-wide lodging tax negotiations. He also oversaw the Tulsa Sports Commission and the Tulsa Film Music Arts Commission, developing innovative strategies to enhance the region's tourism economy. Ray’s career also includes leadership roles with the National Senior Games Association, where he managed national events and partnerships with key sports governing bodies, as well as with Disney’s Wide World of Sports, where he directed operations for over 190 annual events with multimillion-dollar budgets. His expertise extends to event planning, fundraising, board development, and destination marketing. Now, as the founder of RCH Consultants, LLC, Ray leverages his vast experience to assist communities, businesses, and stakeholders in unlocking their full potential. His consultancy specializes in strategic planning, fundraising, destination development, and community engagement. With a commitment to collaboration and innovation, he continues to shape the future of sports tourism and economic development through transformative projects and visionary leadership.
