Jason serves as the Executive Director/VP of Sports for the Fort Worth Sports Commission / Visit Fort Worth. His role in Fort Worth is to secure, manage and promote high-profile, signature sporting events for the City while leveraging the power of sports to impact the community in a positive and sustainable way. He recently led the effort to create the Fort Worth Sports Commission – corralling the top corporate and community leaders in support of the major events in Fort Worth which include the USA Gymnastics US Championships (2021), NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships (2020 – 2026), the Bassmaster Classic (2021), USA Wrestling Olympic Team Trials (2021), the AAC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Conference Championship (2021 & 2022) and the NCAA DI Men’s Basketball 1st & 2nd rounds (2022). Jason is an 18+ year veteran in the sports tourism industry having led the sports commissions in both the South Shore & Evansville, Indiana. He was a founding member of Sports Indiana and served as its president before departing for Texas in 2017.
