Nichole Robinson currently serves as the Director, National Events, after joining the Kansas City Sports Commission staff in September of 2017. At KCSC, Nichole oversees many of the national events that come to Kansas City. She has worked on numerous NCAA National Championships, Regional Championships and USA National Governing Body events including the 2019 NCAA DI Men’s Basketball Regional and the 2017 NCAA DI Volleyball Championship. She also works with the Big 12 Conference for both the men's and women's basketball championship tournaments in Kansas City. She assisted in planning for the 2020 Chiefs World Championship parade and annually assists with the Garmin Kansas City Marathon. Prior to joining the Kansas City Sports Commission staff, Nichole most recently worked for the West Coast Conference on their championships team after serving as the tournament manager for the 2014 NCAA Men's Volleyball Championship at Loyola University Chicago. A native to Castle Rock, CO, Nichole was a student-athlete on the women's volleyball team at the University of Central Florida, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Event Management. She followed that by completing her MBA from Loyola University Chicago while also participating on the women's volleyball team. Outside of work, she enjoys volunteering in her community, spending time in her garden, and enjoying time with her husband and son.
