How Destinations are leveraging more than money to win over rights holders. For CVBs with smaller to mid-size budgets, it can sometimes feel challenging to find a place to fit into the discussion when so many organizations list bid fees but, with some creativity and teamwork you can find ways beyond the bid fee to incentivize tournaments to choose your destinations.

Identify non-monetary value propositions that destinations can offer rights holders beyond traditional bid fees, including community support, operational assistance, and destination storytelling. 2. Apply collaborative strategies that align local stakeholders—venues, hotels, municipalities, and community organizations—to create compelling, unified bids that will increase the benefits for the rights holder and host destination. 3. Evaluate how smaller to mid-size CVBs can remain competitive by leveraging creativity, partnerships, and in-kind assets rather than relying solely on financial incentives.
