A proud Eastern Michigan University graduate, Meaghan Hughes has been a dedicated member of the Destination Ann Arbor team for 17 years. During that time, she has played a key role in shaping the region’s sports tourism efforts, helping guide the evolution of sports sales into what is now the Ann Arbor Sports Commission.
As Director, Meaghan focuses on positioning Washtenaw County as a premier destination for sporting events of all kinds. She holds her Sports Tourism Strategist (STS) designation, co-leads the organization’s women’s community, has served on the mentoring committee, serves as co-chair of the MSC Development Committee, and has been an active member of Sports ETA for 16 years, maintaining strong connections within the sports tourism industry.
