Visit Kingsport’s Frank Lett appointed Chair of the Board
CINCINNATI (July 1, 2024) – The membership of Sports ETA has elected new board leadership and members of the board of directors who began their terms today. Frank Lett, STS, President and Chief Tourism Officer of Visit Kingsport, has been appointed Chairman of the Board, and Matt Libber, STS, Maryland SoccerPlex, will serve as Vice Chair of the Board. Clay Partain, STS, Executive Director, Sports Salt Lake has been named Secretary/Treasurer of the Board.

Jenna, 29, grew up playing hockey in Michigan and has dedicated herself to the sport, playing for the University of Michigan's women’s club hockey team before becoming its head coach.
During this community meeting you will hear about her recent disturbing experience in an adult hockey league where she faced harassment and learn how she showcased remarkable resilience and determination. Jenna is also driving change off the ice and is involved in a feasibility study at UM to elevate women’s hockey to a varsity sport. She'll discuss the exciting progress and insights from this initiative as well.

New collaboration will connect members to the $4.5 trillion health and wellness industry
CINCINNATI (June 5, 2024) – Sports ETA, the only trade association for the sports events and tourism industry, announced today an exclusive partnership with WISe Wellness Guild, a consultancy and network of wellness brands, experts and resources, to provide a new suite of educational offerings for the membership of Sports ETA. Nearly 950 Sports Events and Tourism Leaders Convened for Annual Meeting
Last week in Portland, Oregon, Sports ETA, the only trade association for the sports events and tourism industry, hosted its largest event of the year at the Oregon Convention Center. Nearly 950 sports events and tourism industry leaders attended the Sports ETA Symposium, which offers dozens of continuing education programs and networking opportunities over four days.

Sports ETA releases its 2023 “State of the Industry” Report for the $128 Billion Sport Tourism Industry
Top 10 U.S. states with highest economic impact generated by sports tourism in 2023
revealed for the first time
PORTLAND, OREGON (April 24, 2024, 12 PM PDT) – Sports ETA, the trade association for the sports events and tourism industry, released its highly anticipated annual State of the Industry Report for 2023 today. The report underscores the strength of the sports tourism sector, showcasing a direct spending impact of $52.2 billion, which generated a total economic impact of $128 billion. This monumental contribution supported 757,600 full-time and part-time jobs and contributed $20.1 billion in taxes to various sectors of the economy.
