Sports ETA Member Benefit: Membership Directory

 Posted on: May 1 2020
While we can’t interact face-to-face, take this time to meet some new friends virtually. One of the benefits of being a Sports ETA member is the Membership Directory. The Membership Directory is broken up into three parts: Event Owners, Vendors, and Destinations. As a member, you can look up specific companies, organizations, or people and directly download their contact information. Members are able to include a short bio on their profile so you can learn more about them. Each directory is searchable and you can filter results into market size, sport, or state making it easy for you to find exactly what you are looking for. If you are a Sports ETA member, don’t forget to update your membership profile. This ensures the information found in these directories are up-to-date. If you are not a Sports ETA member, you can use the Member Roster. It too is continually updated with our members, however, you won’t be able to view or download contact informatio...

While athletic teams are benched, many coaches are taking advantage of online tools to keep athletes engaged and at peak performance. As many of you already know, online communication poses unique safety risks. Parents may be relaxing their existing rules for screen time and internet usage. Younger athletes may have more unsupervised technology time. Athletes of all ages may start using new apps and platforms or using familiar ones differently. The U.S. Center for SafeSport created a new guide, Keeping Your Kids Safe Online During COVID-19, to help coaches, parents, and athletes navigate the online environment. Freshen up your Work From Home Routine

 Posted on: April 23 2020
Working from home during the coronavirus pandemic may be getting hard for some. With family or roommates around constantly and not being able to get out and unwind, it’s tough on many of us. It doesn’t matter if you’ve been at this for a week or nearly two months, it may be time to refresh your work from home routine. According to Kourtney Whitehead with Forbes, you can start by reclaiming your commute. While you never loved traffic jams or trying to find a spot on a train or bus, what you may miss is the commute. Some who were surveyed said they are having to “justify” their spending. Others are faced with questions of how to plan for sporting events when no one is sure of the timeline or protocol after this pandemic has passed. There are resources out there. The Pulse asked those who took the survey what resources they are utilizing. Many said Sports ETA (and we thank you for that), and other sports commissions and organizations. Others are pulling their resources with government entities and Sta...
