My staff and I are excited about attending the 2020 Sports ETA Symposium on April 20-23 in Kansas City. We are looking for some KC hospitality- the KC BBQ experience, distilleries & craft breweries, and exciting sports scene!

If you haven’t registered for the Symposium yet, here are some important dates for you to mark on your calendar:

  • March 1st - Registration Deadline, Appointments cannot be guaranteed if not registered by March 1, 2020
  • March 13th - One-on-One Appointment Portal Opens
  • April 3rd - One-on-One Appointment Portal Closes
  • April 10th - Schedules Distributed

Don’t delay in registering yourself and others from your organization for the Symposium. The Symposium offers a variety of education sessions, networking opportunities, and appointments with event rights holders. It’s the Sports Tourism Conference to attend in the spring.

Will this year’s Symposium be your first? Join us for the First-Time Attendee Orientation on Tuesday, April 21, 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. The Mentor Committee is creating a fun and informative session for the first-time attendees. Come meet other first-time attendees and the Mentor Committee.

New at 2020 Sports ETA Symposium is a Mentoring Lounge. First-time attendees can come to hang out in between the education sessions and one-on-one appointments with other first-time attendees and mentors. More information about the Mentoring Lounge to come in the next months.

Reminder: Don’t forget to register for the CSEE Spring Course which will have a morning and afternoon course or register for the Sports Facilities Summit.

Learn more from the sports tourism industry by attending education sessions and registering for the CSEE Program Spring Course. This year, two CSEE courses are being offered on Monday, April 20th. One class is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and one is from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Sports Facilities Summit registration just opened. This summit provides education and facilities tours to industry leaders who want to learn about trends and experience live operations of a sports facility. The dates for the summit are April 19-20 with an opening reception on the 19th and the program content on the 20th at the Pinnacle National Development Center in Kansas City, KS.

Both the CSEE Spring Course and the Sports Facilities Summit require you to register in order to attend.

Once you have registered, don’t forget to book your hotel room.

Book your hotel through March 20, 2020. Choose between three hotels within 2 blocks of the Kansas City Convention Center.

Sports ETA Symposium will be the place to be this Spring! Come meet with sports event owners who are looking for sports destinations to bring their event to your destination. Network with others within the sports tourism industry to build you sports tourism network. Learn new ideas and share your ideas at the education sessions.

Don’t delay in registering today to guarantee the one-on-one appointments! Once you registered, check out the schedule so you can plan which education sessions you will attend. Also, consider registering for the CSEE Program Spring Course or the Sports Facilities Summit.

We, Snohomish County Sports Commission, hope to see you in Kansas City at the Sports ETA Symposium.
