Christina Velasquez is the Director of Education & Research at the Sports Events & Tourism Association, bringing nearly a decade of specialized experience to the role. Prior to joining Sports ETA, she served as the Director of Education at the American Academy of Optometry, where she played a key role in driving educational innovation and the successful delivery of education to thousands of members. Throughout her career, Christina has excelled at building strong relationships, valuing collaboration and the idea that diverse perspectives often lead to the best solutions.

Christina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. Her academic background laid a solid foundation for her career, equipping her with critical analytical skills and an understanding of regulatory frameworks that govern professional education. 

Christina, originally from Queens, New York, relocated to Orlando, Florida with her family in 2005 and has called it home ever since. She is dedicated to her family, cherishing time spent with her son. Christina is actively involved in community volunteer work, passionate about giving back whenever possible. She also has a strong interest in fitness and wellness, and enjoys unleashing her creativity through DIY projects, custom designs, and party decor.
