Steven Short is the Senior Vice President, Expansion Club Strategy.

In this role, Short and his team work to design and develop strategies to launch and support USL professional expansion clubs prior to their first season of competition.

Short previously served as the Senior Vice President for USL League One where he In this role, Short has developed and implemented the comprehensive launch strategy for USL League One including U.S. Soccer Federation sanctioning, franchise sales, league operations, marketing, public relations, staff development and commercial development.

Over his fifteen-year career, Short has established a solid track record for business development, project management and team leadership with Disney Sports, Electronic Art’s EA Sports, and the University of Tennessee. Short graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and a Master of Science in Sport Management. Most recently, Short earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida – Hough Graduate School of Business.
