Sarah Austin serves as General Counsel for USA Track & Field, where she leads the organization's legal function and advises executive leadership on governance, risk management, compliance, athlete safety, and strategic business matters. In this role, she oversees a team of legal professionals, helps ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements, and supports initiatives that advance the organization's mission and operational excellence.

Since joining USA Track & Field in 2010, Sarah has played a key role in managing legal, compliance, and business affairs across the organization. She partners with senior leadership on audit-related activities, risk assessment, policy development, and organizational oversight. Sarah also oversees the annual bid and selection process for more than 80 national championship events, working closely with host communities and stakeholders to deliver successful competitions nationwide.

Prior to USA Track & Field, Sarah spent a decade in the legal department of Finish Line, where she gained extensive experience in corporate legal matters, contracts, compliance, and business operations.

Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Human Resource Management from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business and a Juris Doctor from the IndianaUniversity Robert H. McKinney School of Law.
