Josh Dill, STS

Josh Dill is the Director of Sports & Events for Visit Frisco (Texas). For almost 10 years, he has used an entrepreneurial approach to sports events and tourism to conquer the unique challenges he has faced at each of the three destinations he has worked for.

Prior to joining Visit Frisco, Josh spent 3 ½ years developing the sports department for the Fort Worth CVB. During his tenure there, Fort Worth’s sports tourism business would more than double. The city bid on and hosted the NCAA Women’s Gymnastics Championships, the first major NCAA Championship event to be held in Fort Worth. Ultimately, Fort Worth would secure seven NCAA Championship events. His sports tourism career began with Visit Lubbock & Lubbock Sports in 2008.

Prior to joining the sports tourism world, Josh spent two years working in minor league sports, which is where he met his wife, Meghan. He refers to her and his two daughters as the best things to come out of the minor leagues in years. His proudest moment in sports; however, remains the season when he led his Little Dribblers team, the Bruins, in turnovers, air balls, and number of cupcakes consumed at the end-of-season party.
